The Reflection of Shadows
If
If I tell you the truth, will you let it all loose,
Will you shout to the heavens that I am a fool?
If I try to speak up, to release all my wrongs,
Will you run from forgiveness, away from my arms?
If I ask for your hand, while I reach where you stand,
Will you pull it back leaving me longing again?
If I trust you with this, will our silence persist,
Will we both find the courage to amend what was missed?
Will my memories of us blow away in the wind?
Do we have what it takes to begin once again?
