Time we had, we thought, we squandered,
Time that came too swift, too startling-
Time stole you away, my darling.
Once upon a midnight dreary,
Memories I can't see clearly,
Death came knowing, knocking, stalking-
Death destroyed our love, my darling.
Once upon a nevermore,
I bared my soul, I broke my core,
I tore my ribcage open wide-
